                     Ideas about our Product

Abstract

This document introduces our general thoughts about our Product. For more information please write to zengyi@cstc.net.cn.

   After a long time of studying and discussing on .NET, we have got some general ideas about Microsoft.NET and Web service. The main question that we must face is that what we can do now.

Every member in Microsoft know the saying:” Wake up every day with a feeling of passion for the difference technology will make in people's life!”  What we mostly concentrate on is that what’s the problem of the current daily life and how to use .NET and Web Service Technology to make a better life for people.

From the latter stage of primitive society on, there has been exchange of commodities existed in our daily life. It seems that there is no revolutionary change before the Internet came to our world. Using Internet the Product Providers and their Customers can contact each other for their own purpose. But now here comes the question. Though the Product Providers have been trying their best to show all the aspects of their products to their Customers, they just can receive a little information from their Customers: ”Buy it or not”. And if Customers want to buy a certain kind of product, they must visit a large number of company’s websites to find their best love. Our first idea is to make a bridge to connect the Product Providers and their Customers. Another question is that the Product Providers some times are also Customers, and the Customers some times are Product Providers. But it seems the ways available cannot totally solve the problem. Now our aim is to offer a better E-business solution to both of them. That is My E-business Fairy. NET.   

My first thought about the structure of My E-business Fairy.NET was mainly like this:

Both the Product Providers and their Customers will communicate each other using Web Service. Actually the main function of Web Service is to store and abstract the information that Product Providers and Customers send him and do some calculation work. Through high level abstract, the Web Service gives the two of them some information that they need.

Through a long time of market research around us, finally we decided to take “The Flea Market” in our college as an example to design our product. The general flow chart of the system is mainly likes this:

As has been discussed above, the first case of our product is “The Flea Market”. Now you could imagine that actually the agency might gains a lot. The agency provides the platform to the Product Providers and their Customers to communicate. And if they want to make a commerce. The agency will fetch the products from the Product Providers and sends them to the Customers. The agency’s profit is coming from the process of the commerce. 

The main functions of this program is mainly like this:

Through ASP.NET program, the customers, the Agency and the Product Providers will visit the program and operate on the platform through Internet Explorer and http protocol. The product Providers will release the information of his products on the platform. The customers can search what they want on the platform. They might find that may be different kinds of product that they want are supplied here. Then they could choose what they want and submit an order form. The agency can look over the order forms and deal with them. . NET is a brand new technology. One of the biggest specialties of it is distributed computation. The traditional Web application such as CGI, ASP, PHP etc. will finish all the computation work on a single sever. Unlike the situation above, Web Service divides all the computation work in many parts. Like the diagram shown above: the program written in ASP.NET provides those functions to the users, but the main computation work will actually be done on the Web Service. The main function of ASP.NET program is to accept the Data Input/Out put etc. And the operations on the database will be done through Web Service. The ASP.NET program and the Web Service will run on two servers. The program processing will be speeded up and distributed computation will be done very well in this way. The agency provides a Web Service and a series XML format data transmission criterions. Any program whose format is the same as the series above can exchange data with Web Service. What is more stimulating is that the program can be written not just in ASP.NET. Now you can see crossing platform is not just a dream.
